This exquisite sculpture plaque by Vasarely is an homage to what is considered the first optical art piece in the world, his 1937 Zebra painting. That work set the course for op art that is still popular today. This piece is a very unusual sculpted porcelain plaque by Rosenthal and part of the Jahresteller annual collaboration with noted artists. It is in excellent condition and is numbered 250/3000 and was created in 1977. It is quite large at 14” x 12.5” x 1” with a circular foot for wall mounting.
